Scratch is a block-oriented programming language designed especially for those who are brand-new beginners to programming:
It was developed by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. They say:
"With Scratch, you can program your own interactive stories, games, and animations -- and share your creations with others in the online community.
"Scratch helps young people learn to think creatively, reason systematically, and work collaboratively -- essential skills for life in the 21st century."
Scratch is used on the Raspberry Pi and on the Arduino, in addition to other computers and microcontrollers.
